When to alert your subscribers

One of the most common questions we receive is.. "How often and when should I alert my customers?" The answer, unfortunately, differs based on the type of business you have. For example a Dairy Queen may send out a message every other school day if they are close to an active high school, while a high end steak house may only want to send out an offer every 10-15 days. Your sales representative or the advanced sales team can help you with specifics for your business. I have put together a few of the most common answers based on a wide variety of marketing material.

-Send out lunch offers 90 minutes before the lunch hour. If you notice you get a rush at 1140, then most of your guests most likely start a lunch break at 11:30. Send out the message while they are thinking about lunch plans and are finishing the morning coffee break.

-Send out Happy Hour offers 2 hours before the end of the work day. This will catch them while they are midway through the afternoon and early enough that they have not made solid plans yet.

-Send out Holiday Reservation messages 10-15 days in advance and at an appropriate time of day. The appropriate time depends on the holiday. For example if you are sending out a valentines dinner text, send it during the common work hours, when the other half is less likely to be around. On the other hand if you are hosting a St. Patrick's day event at your bar, send that alert a week or two ahead of time at the same time your event would start. Odds are they will be with the people they would go with and will make instant plans. Don't forget a reminder the day or two before a big event!

TextAlert4U has added a few more programs to our list. In addition to TextAlert4U we also offer DQText, VIPTxT, MyDailyBuzz and 4GolfText.

One of our newest members is Instant Replay in Henderson NV. Instant Replay is a fantastic neighborhood bar and Italian restaurant. On the first day of activation they had the opt-in information everywhere. With help from their liquor distributor they had business cards to hand out, table tents and a large banner on the wall with the opt in information. In addition they have a great offer, a free Coors Light or Blue Moon when you opt-in. If you are in the Las Vegas area text VIPTXT REPLAY to 368674
